So I've gotten this question a few times as well because I think you guys assumed that you know everything about me and that I fit into a box, but yes I actually do give my son pokes. However I do not do everything by the typical schedule and I choose the pokes in medicine that I want to give my son. So my son actually did not have any vaccines until he was three months old. Up until two months old there's actually only one vaccination that they recommend for newborns and I will get into that later, but up until two months old they are not even supposed to be getting any shots. And so at his two month appointment I wanted to delay another month just because that's what I felt comfortable with as the mother. And it actually worked out because they didn't even have it in stock at the clinic. So he had to wait until his three month appointment. He's gotten almost all the shots. He's gotten the D-tap stuff like that, but I am doing it on a delayed schedule and I am picking and choosing the shots. And I just want to encourage all you moms out there who are trying to decide what to give your children, do your research and know that the advice always changes within the medical community like all the time. Literally a week prior to my son being born I was being pushed and guilted for the fact that I was not going to be giving my son the head B shot. Either I nor my husband or head B positive so it felt really pointless to me and I did my research and I didn't feel that my son needed that. The day that my son was born I was asked again if I wanted to give him that shot. And I said no. And literally the next morning the CDC came out with something saying that they did not now recommend this for every new newborn. So all that I really try to do in conclusion is just make informed decisions about my child's healthcare and I try not to be all or nothing with it. So yeah, I hope that answers your question.
