A common Zionist talking point is that Jews were facing genocide in the so-called Muslim world, which is why Israel is necessary to keep them safe. Now it is true that the Jewish population in the Middle East and North Africa has rapidly decreased, going from nearly a million Jews to now less than 13,000. But this was not because of anti-Jewish hates, but rather due to the efforts of Israel itself. Now to be clear, I'm not saying things were perfect, but overall Jews were actually treated fairly well. In Islam, Jews along with Christians are considered to be people of the book, and are thus given significant respect despite theological differences. For this reason, the Muslim world for centuries was actually a safe haven for Jews who were fleeing persecution in Europe. For instance, in Al-Andalus, which is now Spain and Portugal, Jews thrive so much historians call it a golden age, with Jews in government writing poetry, making scientific advances and theological innovations. Coming to modern times, Muslims helped protect Jews during the Holocaust. Muhammad V of Morocco refused to sign decree from the French collaboration of this government to deport a quarter million Jews to concentration camps. In Bosnia, there are many stories and cases where Muslims risked their lives to hide Jews that were being persecuted by the Nazis. And even after Israel was created, Morocco, for instance, continued to have many Jews within the high positions of government. So this is all true that Muslims are treating Jews fairly well. Why did they flee the so-called Muslim world? Because Israel encouraged them to do so. In Iraq, in 1950-1951, Zionist carried out a wave of bombings against Jews as a false flight attack to force them to flee. But such a violence wasn't always necessary, at least that kind of extreme measure. As an immigration lawyer, I can tell you that a lot of people simply leave their country because they want a better opportunity. With Israel receiving support from the Western world, the opportunity for jobs were endless. Israel engaged in targeted propaganda, even going as far as setting up youth clubs in countries like Morocco that promised a better life in Israel. But even despite all that, that was not enough. So Israel, for instance, literally paid the Moroccan government a sum of money for every Jew who left. According to one Moroccan Jew who went to Israel but then decided to come back, quote, "Muslim Moroccans weren't attacking us. They weren't telling us to leave quite the opposite." In other words, the Muslims in Morocco actually did not want the Jewish people to leave. And yet, in Morocco, the Jewish population, like other countries in West Asia and North Africa, the Jewish population has collapsed. But it's not because Muslims were attacking, but because Israel was intervening, engaging in bombings, engaging in propaganda, setting up social clubs, and even just being a country that receives so much money that many people who are in poverty decide to go there rather than remain. Now, there you have it, by my way, here from you. Leave a comment, like, and share. It means a lot. Thank you.
