All the questions I was asked from my college admissions interviews. So I know it's admissions season and also for people who are early into schools that are doing a lot of interviews. And I was asked to share like the questions I was asked so just so you guys can help prepare. So I'm gonna go school by school starting with Cornell. My Cornell one was super informal. I didn't take my resume like it was only 30 minutes. I think they asked three to four questions. They asked me why Cornell, why I was interested in my major and then also other subjects. I was interested in besides my major. I talked about how I like podcasts. So then they asked me like what podcasts I recommended. My biggest thing is my nonprofit cancer gets first. So they asked me like my biggest challenge with that. They also just didn't take notes on the interview at all. Second one that I'll talk about is Columbia. Columbia like opened very chronologically. Like I feel like he had this like planned out almost. So he first opened with like my high school and if I liked it about my classes, my workload, he asked like why did you choose to take like xyz classes, what my favorite class was, what my extracurriculars were. And then I talked about obviously cancer gets first. He had a lot of follow up questions to that. How I got started with it. Did I have mentors? Why was I so passionate about healthcare work internationally? Like he was really trying to dig into like why do you do things that you do? Then like I talked about one of my other extracurriculars which was a economics research paper. He asked specifics on like how did you get in contact with business owners? Like what data did you analyze? Is this a common thing to do at my high school? It was very like a back and forth conversation. Which again, I think is very interview dependent. But I have heard that like Columbia is for instance more like interested in the deeper meaning of things whereas Cornell is a bit more chill. Third interview I'll talk about is Harvard. So Harvard, oh my god, like I think I messed it up. I, this was like not one of my best ones. It was one hour long, a great conversation, asked a lot of follow up questions about like details. Like every single thing I would say, there'd be like a follow up to explain like why am I feelings behind it. So for instance, she asked what do you like to do for fun? What is something that excites you but you haven't done yet? How would your friends describe you in three words? Give a five minute highlight reel on your life. What would it include? Like that really stumped me. What is one thing you learned from school? Why do you want to go to college? Also stumped me a little bit. I didn't really know like a creative response for that. Biggest accomplishments and things you struggled with. I talked a little bit about specific family dynamics. She had a lot of questions on that and how that's affected my development I guess and interests. I also she asked me about hobbies I said baking and she would be like why baking, why not cooking? Like what is the favorite thing that you've baked? Like why do you choose to give your baked goods to like other people? Like every thing that I said, every question had like three more follow ups to it. She asked the best book that I've read. Favorite art piece that I've created. Again, all hobbies I had mentioned that I had. Oh, and she also asked like a book that you liked and a book that you may have she shied away from, which I wasn't also an interesting follow question. How did it feel seeing cancer kids first go big? And then she like really dug into like, oh, like you said you like art. Like how is art used in cancer kids first? Like you said you like reading like how is that integrated? Like she made a lot of connections and really tried to like push me. Also asked what is something on your bucket? I was so excited to do where is somewhere that you'd want to go and obviously that all spawned from like the first beginning question on tell me about yourself. Okay, stay tuned for part two.
