Every time he writes the subway, he waits until the very last second before the doors close to jump on. When he pays bus fare, he wraps his fingers around the coin to avoid leaving prints. Not just that. Every time he leaves the house, he wedges a leaf in the door frame. If anyone sneaks inside while he's gone, he'll know the moment he gets back. His room is lined with mirrors. No matter where you stand, every corner is in full view. The reason he's this careful? His job is unlike anything else, one slip, and he's dead. Because as an accident architect, he knows exactly how people in his line of work operate. They specialize in chain reactions, making targets look like accidents, without leaving a single trace. Soon, the crew gets their first hit, the target, a corporate CEO, rushing to close a business deal. But then out of nowhere the Mercedes in front of him blows a tire, bringing the entire road to a standstill. Lucky for him, there's a side street right there. Not wanting to keep his client waiting, he takes it without thinking twice. But the second he turns in, a seafood truck comes barreling toward him. The drivers all over the place, slinging filthy water everywhere. And when they squeeze past each other, the stinking, fish soaked water splashes all over his carefully chosen suit. And if that wasn't bad enough, just as he hits peak rage, a banner tears loose from above, and drops straight onto his windshield. One thing after another, his patience is completely shot. At this point, the deal is as good as dead, so he takes it out on the banner, and then the next second. But it doesn't stop there. Someone's down. Bystanders call the cops immediately. Nearby officers show up fast, but the broken down Mercedes is still blocking the road. And the ambulance can't get through no matter what. By the time help arrives, the CEO has already bled out. Gone, using small annoyances to hijack a target's emotions, and letting them destroy themselves. That's exactly what this crew does best. But this time, after the job is done, Jack can't feel good about it. In fact, he's already thinking about taking out one of his own guys the old man on the team. Here's why. When Jack went back to confirm the kill and clear the scene, he found a cigarette but on the ground, tossed by the old man driving the seafood truck. One cigarette but might need nothing, but what if there's one at every single scene? That's the kind of thing that raises red flags, and Jack has zero tolerance for mistakes like that. If the cops catch on, they're all finished. So even though Jack pocketed the butt, he's decided the old man has to go. The rest of the crew froze when they heard that, because they all knew exactly what letting him go really meant. The old man knows too much. There's no such thing as a clean exit, so to save his own skin, the guy who smokes two packs a day's war on the spot starting today. He's done with cigarettes. Jack saw that, and decided to let him slide. He looked at everyone and said, "Don't think you can do something and walk away clean. We're not the only ones in this business. You make a mistake, and an accident could find you just as fast. And what happened next proved Jack was absolutely right."
