Second of all, just because one certain type of creativity ended doesn't mean all activities ended. Look at the list of countries that colonized Africa after abolition. So not counting the British, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal, amplified destruction. They literally invented the malaria vaccine so they can colonize deeper into central Africa.
