10 out of 10 ways to become dangerously articulate, but they can progressively more niche. Stop over explaining, keep your point short and simple, syllable separation. Try saying "next step" with a distinct pause between the two S sounds. Try it five times fast. Upgrade your vocab. When you can't articulate something, that basically means you can't find the right word for what you're thinking of. Simple fix for this? Read more. Deliberate practice. Spend five minutes a day reading a book out loud and over-pronouncing every syllable. It feels ridiculous, but it trains your facial muscles. No one does this. Lower your vocal register. From your chest, not your throat. A slightly lower pitch slows your speech down and feels more calm. Stop talking through your nose. Pinch your nose while you talk. If your voice barely changes, you're not actually nasal, you're just under articulating. Open your mouth wider and let the sound escape through it instead of getting stuck behind your teeth. Vary your cadence. Monotone speech kills attention. Speed up slightly to build excitement and slow down significantly right before the point that actually matters. Speak on the exhale. Start talking right as you breathe out. It stops your voice from going shaky and high-pitched and keeps your tone steady. Write more. Write down what you actually think about things. Clear writing is clear thinking, and clear thinking is where articulate speech actually starts. Record yourself. I got this one from Vinjiang. Film five minutes of your self-talking. Watch it first with the sound off and you'll see how your body communicates. Then listen to just the audio with your eyes close. You'll hear how you communicate. See which one is better and worse. There's often a clear winner, and get to the point where your friends won't be able to recognize you. Follow for more tips.
