My husband and I are in open marriage and a lot of people ask me did I date anyone on our recent trip to China? All right, let's talk about it while I'm back. I'm pretty intentional when dating outside my marriage. And contrary to most people's assumptions about non-monogamy, I am not always trying to date. Especially when traveling, it really depends on the trip. I went on vacation to Mexico with two of my friends from college and one called me beforehand saying, "Hey, I prefer if you don't do anything with anyone else on our trip, but I want to spend time with you and I don't want me worried about your safety." I told my friend, "Yeah, I don't see you for you often. I want to spend time with you." But I went on a very different trip with a different friend who was ready to start dating post-divorce. And I was like, "Oh, Wing Woman Roll Initiated! Hold on! What do you need? I've got men's, I've got lip gloss! Let's do this!" Our recent trip to China was a family vacation. Our intent was to introduce our kids who are required to learn Mandarin in school to China. And my parents joined. So, to answer the question, did I hook up with anyone on our trip to China? No, not only were my husband and I sharing a room with our children for three weeks. The idea of hooking up with anyone on a trip with my parents is, "Ah, I can't. I can't even..." Oh, look, these are our t-shirts from volunteering at the Panda Sanctuary. My now MTC cases have cute panda stuff on them. And well, from now on. Hey, I'm Danielle, and I'm happy to answer questions about nominee in the comments.
