I was starting from scratch again on social media. This is exactly what I would do and what I wish I knew three years ago. I've been posting since March of 2023. I quit corporate America two months after I started to do social media full time and I've been doing it for three years now and have a master following of around three million people. And here's how. First thing I would make sure I have before I came to social media was a valuable knowledge or skill set. People get on social media to learn laugh or both. If you're not providing value, no one's gonna watch. And for the first three months, phase one of the content would be posting as much value as I possibly can teach, teach, teach, give it all away for free. When I look back on my page, that's what I did. Thank God I was posting strictly fitness content for probably my first 100 or 150 videos. A little bit of my personality sprinkled in there which is what I'm gonna get to next. As my friend, Briar Cochran says, 10 to 20% of your content should live in this realm which is the personal relatable stuff. Hot takes, random opinions, human observations. Any and everything goes under this window. So 80 to 90% of your content, value based, teaching, giving, helping others learn something valuable whether it's fitness, financial skills, something spiritual, emotional, whatever. Be a teacher, be valuable and share your skill sets and communicate them effectively. Remember that people's attention spans are fried if three seconds to grab them. And then the other 10 to 20% would be me being personal and relatable. Last thing, I wouldn't include an offer. I wouldn't tell people that I do anything or that I coach. I wouldn't even put anything in my bio for the first six months. I would make my free content so good that people go looking and asking if I have some sort of coaching offer or business. That is what I do still to this day and it never fails me. I don't promote shit. I hope that you learn a lot from enough for my free value that you decide to work with me and invest with me as a coach. If you're interested in repeat that for six months, you will build some sort of audience, whether it's 1,000, 10,000, 100,000 or a million people. And you likely will be able to build a brand product or a business off of it. Nothing is guaranteed. You gotta work your ass off. You gotta put the work in, you gotta act boldly. It isn't easy but it is simple. Don't ever complicate it.
