I've been wearing the Fitbit Air and the Woop on the same arm for the past 50 days, and I can finally tell you which one is actually better. I have a 789 day Woop Street, which means I've been wearing the Woop for over two years. The only problem is that Woop is a subscription that costs $200 plus a year. So when the Fitbit Air came out with a one-time price of $99, I thought it was going to be the Woop Killer until I actually started using it. Now don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the physical device itself. The worst thing about the Fitbit Air is the Google Health app. There is so much AI text everywhere in this app, it really gets annoying, especially when you have to scroll past it to get to your actual data. And the Health scores the app gives you are very clearly targeted towards people who are just starting their health journey, but I just discovered a way to make the Fitbit Air just as good as the Woop in my opinion. I'm about to drop ball knowledge. So this is a third party app called Bevel that takes the data from your health tracking devices, and turn them into Woop style scores, so it gives you a strain recovery and sleep score, the exact same way that Woop does. And just a couple weeks ago they added support for the Fitbit Air, and the best part is the app is 100% free. The scores are pretty close to each other for the most part they follow the same general pattern. I noticed that Bevel's Fitbit Air score tends to go way lot lower, the Woop seems pretty balanced, while the Fitbit Air kind of goes to the extremes a lot. Now you gotta remember that I've only been wearing the Fitbit for about 50 days, so I'm sure this is gonna get better over time, but this app has single-handedly influenced my decision to keep the Fitbit Air, and when my subscription for this year ends, I'm gonna have to say goodbye to the Woop, I'm not paying $200 for the rest of my life.
