If you're an English learner and you understand everything I say in my videos, but you cannot speak the same way, that means that you have this passive knowledge that you've accumulated over the years. By watching different things, reading, listening, just absorbing a lot of English, understanding and getting familiar with all those terms and expressions and understanding them through context, you know. And then when the time comes for you to say those things, you have nothing. Right? And you say to yourself, like, "I don't know English, I can't speak English." So what you need to do is stop absorbing so much new information because the reason why you can't speak the same way you understand everything is not because you need to learn more or you don't know enough. You already know enough because if you can understand me, you know all of these words I'm saying, right? You just need to practice putting them into sentences by yourself on your own, right? Like you have to create your thoughts using the words that you already know. And that can only happen through practice. And what do I mean by practice? You don't need a speaking partner. You have your own brain. So any thought that comes to your mind, anything you're thinking about, anything you're like processing you want to say or you thought about what someone said, convert those thoughts in English. You already know all the words. I promise you. You understand me, remember? So you know these words. You just need to drag them out from the shelves of your brain and make them work for you because all they're doing right now is just sitting there. And then you just use them when you need to understand something, but that's passive. You're not actually producing English, right? So keep practicing. I promise you you don't need to learn any more new words. You just need to practice the ones you know.
