The storage compartment in front of the passenger seat, you definitely know where that is, right? Now look underneath it, and you'll find this small hidden component. Go ahead and remove it. If you take a closer look, you'll see it's already covered in dust and dirt, with even the sensor probe completely coated. Carefully wipe away the dirt on the surface, and the sensor tip immediately becomes visible. Then put it back in its original position. Surprisingly, after turning the air conditioner back on, the problems you had before, poor cooling and the AC freezing up while driving at high speeds, were completely gone. And then, almost by accident, you gave me a little like. It turns out this is called the evaporator temperature sensor. Its main job is to monitor the air conditioning temperature, send the signal back to the car's computer, and help control the operation of the compressor. If this sensor malfunctions, the temperature signal may become inaccurate, which can cause abnormal AC performance, including freezing or poor cooling.
