Like if someone says guess how much I got this shirt for. That probably means that they're excited by the fact that it was cheap. You should not guess based on you thinking it's cheap. You should guess high so that they can be excited by how low it is. If someone's coming up to you and saying guess how many miles I ran, you should do a conservative guess so that they can surprise you with their actual number. Because if I say guess how much I got this shirt for and you say what eight dollars, and I'm like it was nine. Like now it's not exciting anymore. Literally for no reason, people are just stealing your thunder right out from under you.
