Already started, the robots are destroying themselves for our own entertainment. The so-called "robot Olympics in Beijing" is spreading would-be traumatic injury all over the internet of the athlete's straight-up exploding on the track in field and launching themselves in the walls. I say "would-be" because since they're very clearly robots, it's not too hard to look at, but this red "robose" sprinter in particular has been making headlines after it pushed so intensely during a race that literally split itself into multiple pieces as sparks poured all over the ground. These are incredibly expensive humanoids we're talking about here, while yeah, a lot of the time they're just flailing around, and it's just kind of silly to watch, after a whole group of metal people booking it full speed into a lightly padded cushion went south when one exploded, it kind of starts to get a little hard to watch, but also equally difficult to look away.
