The Blood of Dawnwalker is my FAVORITE RPG of 2026. #thebloodofdawnwalker #GamingOnTikTok #WhatToPlay

The developers behind the Witcher 3 made an RPG where you're human during the day and a vampire at night. I've put about 20 hours into the blood of Dawn Walker and not only is this the best vampire game ever made, but it's also becoming one of my favorite RPGs of the year. The easiest way I can describe this game is that it feels like a smaller scale, slightly more streamlined version of the Witcher 3, if Geralt was a vampire. And I mean that as the highest compliment possible. Everything from the graphics to the way your character moves, the combat, quest, dialogue, and RPG systems genuinely remind me of the Witcher 3, which means it's awesome. You play as Cohen, a man hunting down the tyrannical vampire Lord Brensis, who has taken control of your homeland, killed your mother, and destroyed your family. But when Brensis attempted to turn you into a vampire, something went wrong. Instead, you became something even more powerful. A Dawn Walker, half human, half vampire. And this is where the game completely won me over. Because depending on whether it's day or night, you basically play as two completely different characters. During the day, you're human. You fight with a sword, use witchcraft abilities like haste to move around the world faster, and most importantly, people treat you like a normal person. But once the sun goes down, you become a vampire. Your combat becomes faster and more brutal. You can rip enemies apart with your claw. Transform into a wolf to quickly traverse across the world. And sometimes people can actually recognize what you are, panic, run away, or call the guard. But there's a catch. You need to feed. And you can feed on basically anyone, including important NPCs. When you're talking to someone at night, you'll actually get the dialogue option to give into the hunger and feed on them. But if your hunger gets bad enough because you're low on health, something crazy happens. Your normal dialogue options literally start disappearing until eventually you have no choice, but to feed on whoever you're talking to. So if you're starving, you better be really careful when you're talking to an important character at night. I've had it, but you're fucking attitude. And feeding isn't just about staying alive either. The more you feed, the stronger your vampiric abilities become. So the game is constantly tempting you to become more powerful, but that power comes at the expense of the people living in this world, and creates an interesting moral dilemma with not only Cohen, but you as the player. There's also a unique time system that completely changes how you approach quests, tons of secrets to discover, legendary loot, rare monsters to hunt, and a beautiful open world that I've genuinely been enjoying just exploring. I did not expect to like the Blood of Dawn Walker this much. I literally want to stop making this video so I can go back and play more. So let me know what you guys are thinking about the game in the comments.
