10 out of 10 things to consume to make your taste absolutely incredible but they get progressively more niche. First is Book of the Month. They do a monthly short list of the best new fiction that they've come across, pick what speaks to you and then they send it your way. Second is Nowness, which is one of my favorites. It's a video channel that premieres the best in arts and culture. Third is the Modern House. It's in a state agency that sells the most beautifully designed homes in the UK and their Instagram is beautiful. Fourth is Show Studio. It's Nick Knight's fashion film platform that he's been running since I believe 2000 and shows the behind-the-scenes process at fashion imagery. Fifth is Tag Walk. They describe it as a fashion search engine where you can see runway shows for free. Sixth is Radio. You can pick any country and any decade past 1900 and hear what was playing at the time. It is so cool. Seventh is MDLA. It's a free runway archive going back to the 90s. The coolest thing to me is that it tracks designers across all the labels that they worked up. Eight is Alien Thought, which is a free essay site that is dedicated to analyzing psychology underneath modern business. Nine is Ari. New and exciting abstract artists take you behind the scenes of their process to be an easy way to learn how to paint. Number 10 is the Vintage Gild Fashion Label Resource. It's a free database of vintage clothing labels, so you can photograph the tag in anything that you buy from the thrift store. You can find out what that tag is and when it was made.
