Top three movies that predicted the future. Number three is Top Gun Maverick. Now this list is inspired by Jason Pargan who's one of my favorite people on the TikTok app and an incredible author. And he was talking about how the mission in Top Gun Maverick directly parallels what is going on in Iran right now. The mission in Top Gun Maverick is to destroy underground nuclear facilities in an unnamed country. But the only country that has these sort of facilities is Iran. Number two is network. Now network is all about the sensationalization of the media, of reality television. And we were getting a little bit of a taste of this in the 70s when network was made. But the extent and the scale that it is depicted in the film is done for the sake of sort of extremity. But it is definitely almost underplaying where we are at today.
