I have a dash that probably has 15 data points that I'm looking at daily, weekly, monthly, annually. But let's just break it down into the three most important things. The first one is, are you growing? The second is, are you growing profitably? And the third is, do you have the cash runway to meet your goals and the trajectory of your business? Period, end off. Underneath that is a layer where you need to look at every single metric, right? So we're looking at gross profit. We're looking at contribution margin, which is actually often more telling. You're looking at the lifetime value of a customer. You're looking at average order value. You're looking at the returns rate. You're looking at how often you're a customer's are coming back. You're looking at your revenue by-- you're looking at your revenue in terms of the number of staff that you have in the company. And so you're looking at that on a head basis. And I think that what's interesting is, obviously, that differs for the different categories of businesses or the different kind of sectors that you're in. But there are so many metrics that you need to be looking at every single day. And I think that the most important thing that you can do as any business owner is to never, ever outsource that. It doesn't matter if you're not good at math. It doesn't matter if you're not the finance person. When you bring in person that is actually going to do that work for you, you need to still understand it. And so you need to be extremely close to that person so that you can understand what is supporting your business. What are the underlying values that drive your business? It's not something that you can neglect, ever, ever, ever.
