this not that: slides

This is not that slide. Now I know many people are well beyond this phase, but some people still wear them because it's just a convenient shoe, I get it. Like, do you just wanna slip on shoe for the summer? And given that summer is just around the corner, here are some summary slip-on slidey situations that I think have a bit more pizzazz if you will. But also these tabby slip-ons. Now, Margella didn't invent tabby's. Tabby's are traditionally a Japanese style of shoe. And this brand drew some really cool tabby's that are much more affordable option and more summary option because they're not leather. And I just think they're really cute. They're also like eco. They're made out of sugar cane fibres, I believe. That's fun. We can't talk about slabs, that's about berkenstocks. Obviously, Boston's are huge and Arizona's back in the day were huge. These ones, the Mayari and the Gazette, some of the design effect. I think a candy. I just like slabs when they have a more of a thong, sorry, flip-flop, aesthetic. 'Cause these are objectively uglier than your Boston's and your Arizona's, but I think that's what gives them a bit more character. So if I were to go for a berk, like a slip-on-een slidey burky for the summer, I would go for these ones out of the burks. You've been living under a rock if you haven't heard about these already, but the Chinese mesh slippers, they're gorgeous because they're hideous. I can only really seem to find this on Amazon. So if anyone knows of anywhere that's like a bit more like ethical than Amazon where people could purchase these from, please let me know. Because I really like this style of shoe. I think this style of shoe is really comfy. Continuing on with my ugly shoe obsession, these weigh me up flip-flops from Keem. I think her adorable. They're ugly, they're ugly. I know they're ugly, but I think they're circle. I think they just have some sort of character that are then like an easy slide, for example, don't you? Suicook moto cabs are kind of the only actual slidey looking shoes that I like. Just 'cause they've got the double strap situation. Look how layered it is. They're just a lot more exciting on the eye than just a typical slide, I believe. From Suicook again, the kissy vies, gorgeous. I mean, these are more of a dad sandal situation, but dad sandals are hard. I have those black ones at the top there, and those have a green pair. And they've done me well over the years. I love them a lot, and I think you could love them too. If you hated those, you're gonna hate these, but the Meryl Kahunas, so fun. These are much more of a dad core dad sandal, like these are proper dad sandals. I think like styled with like something really more really feminine to balance it out would be really fierce. But I know most people aren't like these. Good old Havianas. I'm really liking the returns of them. I think bring back the classics, you know? But also, while there's some Pinterest, I saw like these, and this is cool too, compared to just like a leather strap slide, just the thong slash flip flop vibe of this is cooler to me. So if anyone knows what these are, let it go on there, 'cause I think these are cool. If you were looking for more of like a dressy, or like bulkier flip flop. Flip flop sounds so alien to me, but I feel like I have to say flip flop because otherwise every American person will be like, it's not a thong. These are thongs in my heart.
