the top five movies that were shot in chronological order number five is ET now Spielberg shot ET in chronological order for a good reason he was working with child actors and he wanted the child actors to feel the emotional arc of the film and ultimately feel the devastation towards the end when the ET is you know on on his last legs. Number four the breakfast club now this was shot to feel like a play and John Hughes wanted the movie to basically have the same beats as a play and he rehearsed it like one and then shot it in chronological order for that same emphasis. Number three the Texas chainsaw massacre which was known to be a horrific set and produced a horrific film and I don't know why they shot this in chronological order but they did. Number two is REC now this one is great so the filmmakers cast the actors and they had a loose idea of what they were doing but they basically shot it in order and locked them inside that warehouse that it or that tenement building that it takes place in and they didn't tell them what was going to happen for most of it so they kept the surprises real and the reactions real.
