"Hey, it's time for another 2B movie recommendation." "For those who don't know 2B as a free movie streaming app, you can get on your smart TV or your phone, and it's a lot like wandering through the aisles of a video store back in the late 90s. And today's recommendation comes from filmmaker James Gunn. "Now you all know James Gunn from Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2, and the upcoming The Suicide Squad." But he made a name for himself writing things like the live action of Scooby-Doo. His original screenplay was very R-rated. And the screenplay for Zack Snyder's first film, Dawn of the Dead. James used his success from Dawn of the Dead to get a movie that he had written made. And thus, my recommendation, the sci-fi body horror comedy, Slither. "Okay, so you should know going in. This is a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, and has a bunch of great familiar faces. Nathan Filion, Elizabeth Banks, Michael Rooker, a great blend of makeup effects and CGI, and a bunch of fun campy moments and great one-liners that you should come to expect from a movie called Slither. "I shouldn't have to sell it too much from there, but basically alien lands, uh, infects and spreads via slug leech-like creatures that crawl into your mouth." Which is gross, but also hilarious when the mayor says, "What kind of a thing tries to get you to eat it?" Also, office fans will see a small role played by Pam A.K. A. John Fischer. "It was actually married to James Gunn at the time. So if you're bored and want a gross, gory sci-fi horror laugh, check out Slither on Tubi.
