Top 3 movies that took the longest to make. Number 3 is The Thief and The Cobbler. This took 29 years to complete. This was one of my favorite animated films to watch as a child. It's gorgeous and you see why. It took so long because he had to animate all that crap and that takes forever. Let's shut this bird up! Number 2 is The Overcoat. Now this is another animated production that's apparently still in production. It's been being created for 41 years, so I think it's about time we wrap that thing up. You know what I mean? It took him forever and then he passed away before it got released and then it took another like 25 23 years to get this damn thing released on Netflix with the help of Peter Bogdanovich and it's his final project Orson Wells that is the other side of the win.
