It was around 3am in the dead of night, when Ellen was awoken by a faint jingling noise. Upon fully waking, she recognised it as the bell from her cats collar - so turned over and fell back to sleep. An hour or so later, she was woken for a second time by the jingling bell, so got up to check on the cat. Flashes of lightning lit up the dark bedroom, illuminating her way alongside a small candle. ‘Here, Kitty Kitty’ she called down the stairs, as the jingling had now moved to the basement. The door was slightly ajar, so Ellen creaked it open and called in for the cat. Something then flew by her head, landing on the floor - it was her cats collar. During the Blitz of World War II, a terrace street in Liverpool was destroyed, killing its residents. Years later in the 1961, the land was cleared and the houses rebuilt. In Autumn of that year, piano teacher Tiffany, was visiting her sisters address on that very road. Her sibling had recently purchased a grand piano, and asked her sister to tune it whilst away for the weekend. She sat at the keys, and began to play - when something brushed against her neck. Glancing round, she felt the ice cold, touch of a Childs hand on her cheek. She froze in shock to see the pale, floating hand in front of her face, wearing a frilled white sleeve … but there was nothing beyond the elbow, no body. Tiffany screamed, jumping up in fright and ran to escape. But there in the doorway, stood a small girl covered in soot, clutching a porcelain doll. She was partially transparent and Tiffany could see the wallpaper through the child’s body. After what felt like hours, the ghost vanished through the wall.
