You got someone just playing the part to get what they want. I’m not saying it was malicious because many times they aren’t being malicious just very unaware. However that doesn’t change the fact that they were never “available” to you. They just enjoyed your company with no strings attached. And as soon as you presented the strings ( requirements or emotional responsibility) that is when they check all the way out.
