Scientists just used a fungus to mine metals from a meteorite on the space station and they're saying that it worked better being in zero gravity. So basically these researchers just sent fungus to the international space station, they put it on crushed meteorite rock and then they waited to see if it could pull precious metals out of it. And basically they're saying that it didn't just work, it went absolutely crazy. And this is where it gets insane because they say that the fungus actually extracted 550% more metal than regular chemical methods in zero gravity. The fungus looked at zero gravity and said, yeah, I work better here. Meanwhile, I can't even get the mold out of my own shower.
