Did you know that LinkedIn members with a profile photo gets 21 times more views and 9 times more connection requests? Welcome back to part 2 of FWTUNO about the job hunt. Hi I'm Nali and I run social at a creative recruiting agency here in New York City and I sit next to recruiters every day so I'm going to be spelling the tea on what I learn key insights so that you can get hired in 2025. Today we're covering the first two essentials for LinkedIn optimization so that your profile can get noticed by recruiters. First up is your profile photo. This one's pretty obvious but you need a professional headshot as your profile photo and if you don't have one have your friend take a photo of you against a cleaned background with good lighting. Think of LinkedIn like any other social platform. It runs on search engine optimization which means you need to use as many keywords as possible on your profile so that recruiters can find you. The first place that the keywords will pop up is your headline. Whatever you do don't put open opportunities because your headline isn't about what you want but more about the value you add to the world aka your future employer. Use a simple formula for a strong searchable headline. One, keywords for the role you're targeting or your current job title. Two, your current or target industry and three, your unique value or differentiator. For example if you're a marketing manager in the CPG industry your headline might look like this.
