Russian verb conjugation, conjugate means agree the verb with the subject. For example in English I work, but he works. English is a lot simpler though because most endings are the same. I work, you work, we work, they work the same. In Russian though, every single pronoun has its own ending. And the golden rule for Russian is always remember how to conjugate the I form and the U form. There is "ya" and "t" because a lot of Russian verbs are irregular and may be unpredictable. But once you know how to conjugate "ya" and "t" for a verb the rest is easy breezy. Let's take a говорить to speak. The I form typical ending is "U" or "U" so it's "ya" "gavariu" I speak. And then say we know that "sha" is a typical ending for the "t" form. But for all we know it could be "tii" "gavarioš" "tii" "gavarieš" "tii" "gavarieš" "tii" "gavarieš" "tii" "gavarieš" which one is it? That's why it's important to learn it and drill it. "Ты говоришь" - "я" - "говорю" - "Ты" - "говоришь" And then for the rest of them, just take the "ты" form and change the last letter. "Он" - "говори-то" - "Мы говорим" - "вы" - "вы" - "говори-те"
