девочка девушка and девушка, these three sound really similar. Let's make sure you don't get them mixed up. девочка is a little girl like a kid. The opposite of девочка would be мальчик, a boy. девушка is a young woman. I'd say roughly 16+ and девушка also means girlfriend. Like if you say это моя девушка, that would mean this is my girlfriend. And the opposite of девушка is молодой человек, which literally means young men and can also mean boyfriend. Or you can also say парень, which means a guy and also can mean a boyfriend. Also девушка is a perfectly polite way to address a young woman in Russian speaking country. извините девушка would be excuse me miss and then finally девушка means grandfather. The opposite would be бабушка, grandmother. So yeah accidentally going on a date with a dedu-shka would definitely be a deal breaker for me.
