The checklist I use when I want a piece of content to do its thing

there is a big difference between videos that get 10,000 views and videos that get 100,000 views and a lot of people will tell you it's just luck. No, it's not. There's a checklist that I have and whenever I hit everything on this checklist, I can pretty much guarantee that my video is going to get over 100,000 views. The first thing is a good term balance. So your term is your total addressable market, which basically means the number of people who are interested in the topic you're talking about. If your term is too wide and too broad, your message probably isn't going to land. But if it's too specific and niche, you won't have enough of an audience to get those big numbers. So the balance has to be right. If you want me to do a separate video on time, let me know. The next thing is a super hook. So not just a regular hook that grabs somebody's attention, you need a super hook. A super hook combines a couple of things. A line that you say that instantly triggers curiosity and some kind of emotional reaction. You need visuals on the screen that stop the scroll and you need text on the screen to give immediate context. When all of those things are combined, people don't just stop. They lean in. The next thing is high emotional impact. Videos that spread make people feel things strongly and it could be any emotion. It could be fear or fomo. It could be shock, disgust, joy, elation, any emotion. As long as you make people feel that really strongly, that's what gives it potential to go big. Then the final thing is novel value. Not just value where they're getting something from your content. It has to have nobility to it. It could be a tip that they've never heard before. It could be a unique angle on a topic. It could be a perspective shift. It could be a story that they've never heard before with a shocking twist that entertains them in a really unique way.
