You don't need to study everything equally. So you've got to do pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary, and a conversation practice, right? But you don't need to do this equally. And honestly, you shouldn't, because not everything gives the same return. Some things unlocks other things. For example, pronunciation helps listening. Grammar helps pronunciation. Use for phrases helps speaking. But learners spend the same energy on everything. And I think it's so inefficient. Because English learning is not flat. Some skills have more leverage. And if you focus on high leverage skills first, everything else gets easier faster. So that's why strategy matters. Not all studies are equal studies. So some practice moves everything. Some practice very moves anything. So the question is not just am I studying. The better question is, am I studying the things that unlocks the next thing? That's how smart learners grow. They see the next step.
