Everyone says you need to think in English to be fluent, but I'm going to be honest. That advice is kind of useless because you can't force yourself to think in another language. That's not how brains work. What actually happens is this. You use English so many times in the same situation that your brain just skips the translation. It's not a switch you flip. It's a path you wear down. So think about driving. At first, you're thinking like, oh mirror, signal, break, turn, but now you just drive, right? Your body knows. So language works the same way. You don't need to think in English. You just need to use the same phrases so many times that they stop requiring thought. Think about it like, I don't know. You don't translate that. You just say it. Well, that makes sense. You know, same thing. It just comes out. So that's not thinking in English, but that's English becoming automatic. So stop pressuring yourself to think differently. Just keep showing up. Keep repeating and keep using it. That thinking part will take care of itself.
