How many Hours you should sleep ? . #human #brain #edu #sleep

Sleeping 8 hours is actually making you more tired than sleeping less. The reason is something almost nobody talks about. And once you understand it, you will never set your alarm the same way again. Your sleep is not one block of rest. It is a series of cycles that repeat every 90 minutes. Each cycle takes you through light sleep, then deep sleep, then REM sleep, and back up to the surface before starting all over again. Deep sleep is when your body physically repairs itself and your brain literally washes out toxins. REM is when your mind processes emotions and locks in memory. The problem is, when your alarm goes off after exactly 8 hours, your body is almost always stuck in the middle of one of these deep cycles. Your brain gets ripped out of its most important phase before it could finish. And that is what causes that heavy, foggy, exhausted feeling you wake up with. Scientists call it sleep inertia and it can last for hours after you get out of bed. The fix is simple. Stop aiming for 8 hours and start aiming for 7 and a half or 9 hours, because both of those numbers line up with the end of a complete sleep cycle. Your body wakes up naturally at the lightest part of the cycle, which is exactly when you are supposed to be waking up.
