TikTok shop affiliates, I can tell you three things that you're wasting your time on that are not hoping you progress at all. People love to act like they've cracked the code on here like oh, if you're only posting your video from that little plus sign down at the bottom of your screen, you're doing it wrong. No, come on. People are touting creator search insights. Come on, that is actually, if you go to any of your videos, you can go to analytics, you can see where the majority of your traffic for video comes from. It is almost all from your four-year page. It's mostly not coming from search analytics. And even if you do have some views coming from career search analytics, I promise you that is not what's going to determine whether or not your video goes viral. Second thing is video captions. It doesn't really matter what you say in your video. The video itself has to be good. It has to have a really good hook, it has to draw people in. Whatever you say about the video in the caption, it doesn't really matter. Unless you're literally putting like a recipe or something like that. Number three, hashtags. hashtags are not actually going to determine whether or not a video goes viral. hashtags are only important if you have joined like a creator campaign or something like that and you need your videos to be able to count. Towards that campaign in order to win a cash prize or whatever. So I do hashtags. I do pretty much the same five hashtags on all my TikTok drop videos. I just leave it in my notes section, pop it in and it makes it so much easier to post. I'm all about efficiency. So I am not doing anything for the captions. I'm just doing hashtags. I'm not doing that whole creator search insight, content, gap, crap. It just takes too long. So instead here are three things that you can focus on that are actually going to help you grow. Number one, product research. If you cannot find a product that is a winning product that has a lot of ads been behind it, that's not already completely inundated with all the top creators. That's where you're going to make all your money. I truly believe the only reason I've been able to grow so fast on TikTok shop. For reference, I've made about 60K over the last three months. I've only been doing this in November. The only reason I've been able to grow so fast is because I found a few winning products. You want to get an early before the product has taken off and I know that's hard because people's natural instinct is to want to do whatever one else is already doing. If you find a product that you believe is a winning product and it has almost no sales, go for it. And how do you find those products? I use Caledata. Caledata to me is like the absolute best way to research products. I can make a whole other video about that. Number two, video research. Go through and check any of the products that you are thinking of selling. Go look at the videos of people who have already sold that. You can recreate it. You can make it better. Save those videos for later. So when it's time to film, you can just get down to business. Take visual, verbal, text hook ideas from other people. Script ideas, take call to action ideas. It doesn't really matter, but that leads me to my third point. The third item you should focus on to actually grow on TikTok shop is your hooks. If people are scrolling within the first three seconds of your video, you have absolutely no chance. What makes a good hook is gotta be scroll stopping. It's gotta be shocking. It's gotta be visually appealing. Any and all of those items. I know people are always spinning their wheels on trying to come up with new scripts. Once you have a decent script for a product, you can just recreate that exact same script, the exact same call to action. A call to action is a call to action. If it's scarcity, I'll labeling for you to upload, blah blah blah. But the hook literally keep everything else the same and just change up your hook, try different angles, try different movements. I mean, there's tons of other videos out there that gave you so many good hook ideas. I gotta use the look. So anyway, this actually turned out to be a really long video, but don't worry about the hashtags, the captions, all that crap. Focus on the video itself. Focus on making a really good video. That's entertaining, they'll keep people's attention. Everything else is just fluff.
