If a bird lands on a branch, does the bird trust the branch or does it trust its wings? I have seen plenty of birds land on plenty of branches. I have never seen a branch break and a bird fall to its death. The bird trusts the wings, not the branch. Trust your wings. Life is going to test the branches you stand on, jobs, relationships, people, circumstances. The branches shake, the branches break, the branches disappear without warning. The wings belong to you. The wings cannot be taken from you no matter what season life puts you in. Your confidence should never come from what you are standing on. It should come from what you carry inside you. Too many people trust the branch. They trust the position, the approval, the comfort, the routine. They forget they were built to fly, not cling to whatever is underneath them at the moment. Life does not punish you. When a branch breaks, it reminds you to use your wings to remember what was always yours from the start. Your strength is not tested by how stable everything around you is. It is tested the moment everything underneath you starts to shake at the same time. If you learn to trust yourself, you do not fear the fall. Falling is not failure. Falling is flight training. The bird that never falls is the bird that never learns what it is actually capable of. The shaking branches are doing you a favor in disguise. They are sending you back to the only thing you were ever supposed to rely on. Trust your wings. Not because the world is safe. The world is not safe and never was.
