Every night, the nun would quietly slip into the man's room. She slowly removed her clothes, and then laid down on the man's bed. Before long, the man stirred from his sleep and sensed that something was wrong. Before he could react, Anna leaned in and kissed him. The man struggled desperately trying to break free, but this only enraged Anna completely. To stop him from crying out, she reached for the dagger on the table. Three minutes later, Anna calmly dressed herself. She set the man's room on fire and ran straight home. Frantic and shaken Anna drank heavily, but the next moment, she suddenly noticed that her hands were on fire. She plunged them into water at once. It was only then that Anna realized it had all been a hallucination, but the vision brought a terrible thought rushing back to her. Her necklace was still in the dead man's hand. There was no time to think. Anna threw on her clothes and rushed to the morgue. Upon arrival, she immediately examined the man's body. When she found the necklace still clutched in his hand, she finally breathed a sigh of relief. What she did not know, however, was that the entire scene had been witnessed by the mother superior. Upon learning of Anna's appalling actions, the mother superior was filled with fury. She struck Anna across the face. The blow made Anna confront what she had done. She began to confess her sins before God, but just at that moment, a rope appeared in Anna's hands. And in an instant, a dark thought took hold of her.
