sometimes Bulgaria can take a lot of patience. There are businesses with great customer service, many where they are just perfunctory, and others where you feel like you're forcing them to sell you something. It can be very very challenging to not let those moments make you feel angry I have to remind myself to see the big picture because I very much want to support small local businesses This one especially I understand offers convenience for the elderly who come to Popovo by bus and go to the market for fresh produce There are other hardware stores close by so I probably will think twice before going back and giving this one any more business I've bought here multiple times so that would be a shame but day was especially difficult and ridiculous unnecessarily I am consistently friendly and patient. Perhaps other foreigner haven't been. I don't know why I was treated with such attitude but at the end of the day, I got what I needed and most likely at even a better price than at the big stores ##ramblingrhonda ##supportlocal ##customerservice ##bulgaria ##popovo

I'm at I'm at the market the farmers market in Popovol and behind me there's like a hardware store and there's a lady that really works in there I don't think it's the same lady that's here today and she's been very helpful in the past you know and this time I came and I just need the plug part to like rewire something and she was so quick to say like no no no no no no like don't have it I think she wanted to stay outside and smoke her cigarette and so then I used my translator and said I only need the plug part you know she could see my light thing here so then she kind of begrudgingly if you know that word kind you know went inside found it and slapped it on the counter one euro okay but then I also needed the little screwdriver to go with it no we don't have it's a hardware store like that seems really funny they wouldn't have a little small screwdriver so I said really you know so she goes and looks for it she comes back with the screwdriver and it's too big and she goes and looks for another one she smacks it on the counter I'm still not sure if it's gonna work it's very funny for me to have a store that like doesn't seem to want to sell you something you know but I'm gonna keep supporting the small businesses because I just want them to still be around for everybody else it's very convenient it's right here by the farmer's market
