This is John, my best friend, and he is about to get married, but he cannot afford to buy a house, so I made a crazy decision. I am going to build him a house in my own way. I spent $10,000 on an abandoned house and then renovated it into a dream home. I did not go to see the property in person and bought it directly online. When I finally stood at the front door of the house, I almost turned around and left. The yard was overgrown with waist-high weeds, the rooms were filled with garbage, and the entire house was even more dilapidated than I had imagined. But I thought of John, greeted my teeth, and stayed anyway. On the first day, I started working on the exterior. I used a pressure washer to clean the walls and scrub the moldy roof. Years of accumulated grime gradually peeled away, and the house slowly revealed its original appearance. On the second day, I pushed open the front door and was hit by a musty smell. The inside was piled with so much garbage that there was barely any space to step. Completely unlike a place where anyone could live. Another friend patted me on the shoulder and told me, "Hang in there, we are building his dream." On the third day, we went to clean the pool in the backyard. The bottom was covered with rotten leaves and black mud, giving off an indescribable odor. I put on gloves, picked up a shovel, and scooped it out bit by bit. After a few hours, the pool gradually revealed its original color. The wedding is only one month away, and time is running out. But I have no intention of giving up because John deserves to have a real home. See you in part 2.
