If you've just been recently terminated due to your performance and the record reflects that not too long ago, they saw that you were meeting expectations that you were performing well. Perhaps they gave you a bonus, they gave you good reviews, and all of a sudden, after perhaps you took medically pregnancy leave, you reported certain unlawful treatment, you noticed certain things and spoke up. Now all of a sudden, you're not meeting expectations. The performance review is now negative and now they're setting you up for failure to get rid of you. I want you to understand that this has nothing to do with your performance. It has everything to do with the fact that you spoke up. Your voice was the reason why they saw you as a problem. The fact that you took protected medical leave, pregnancy leave, you engage in protected activity, and they saw you as a threat to their environment, their system that is out to exploit and profit off of you. In the moment that you stand in its way, whenever you're going to call it out, whenever you're going to speak up, they want you gone. It's at that time you've got to speak with an employment attorney and hold them accountable to the law.
