Dozens of athletes are disappearing right now. Last week, an entire football team of around 20 Ethiopian players went missing in Sweden on the last day of their tournament, and while most of them were aged just 14 to 17 years old, even their adult coaches disappeared with them. Then, this week, over in Scotland, police have had to open an investigation after multiple athletes participating in the commonwealth games also went missing. This included four boxes from Uganda and one from Pakistan, over in Canada just last month, nine of Cuba's 12-person rowing team didn't show up for their flight either. And then, just recently in South Africa, seven erratory and footballers playing for their national team have gone missing as well. Now, while police in most of these countries are still investigating these disappearances, South play is not really expected. It's expected that most of these athletes have purposefully disappeared to either claim asylum, like the one Ugandan boxer that has come out and said that that's what he's doing, or defect like in the case of the Cuban rowing team.
