If you are going to prison, I want you to toughen up and get ready for the inevitable inconveniences of life on the insides. I do these things before you go in number one. Start taking cold showers now because you are going to endure a lot of them on the inside. Number two, I want you before you go to prison to put your iPhone away for two straight days. No texting, no emailing, no TikTok to YouTube, not in nothing. There are many people who go to prison who will say, "Man, I miss my iPhone more than sex." I'm going to lead to a lot of sex jokes in prison, but those things don't happen in a minimum security prison. There are some people that are so addicted to these iPhones that when they get to prison, guess what? They start to use an iPhone. They get caught. They go to the hole. They go to higher security prison. Some people get new charges, put away the iPhone for two days, number three. Go to bed hungry every now and again before you go in because there are nights with limited spending in the commissary in prison. You are going to go to bed hungry. Number four, it's pretty light inside of that dorm. You got these lights directly above you and you're thinking, "This is insane. Can someone turn the lights off?" Little do you know. The lights are already off. So before you go in, even right now, go to bed with the lights on and see how you would just. Number five, go a full day without speaking to anyone. It's frankly quite enjoyable. No, I'm an introvert, so it's easier for me to sit in a closet or my room and read and write and think. But in prison, I have full days right and speak to anyone. It was fantastic. So before you go in right now, spend a full day without speaking to anyone. It is insane how much you will actually enjoy at number six. No drinking or smoking. A lot of people before they go in, like me eat, like they have a date with the electric chair, then they go in and they don't have the food and we would draw. So start to eat and die a little better before you go in and it will make the transition a little bit easier. Number seven, I think I hope I'm not sure. Right for five minutes a day in the frenetic pace of business and life, we don't spend the time to write. But it's a great exercise in prison and in life to document your journey. So before you go to prison, spend five minutes a day. What are you doing? How are you feeling? What are you writing? What are you thinking? That leads to number eight. Write a book report before you go to prison. Why did you read the book? How will it help you in prison? What are you going to learn from it? If you don't get in the habit now with writing, it ain't going to happen when you transition to prison number nine. Write it going away letter to everyone. What you're going to do? How they're going to hold you accountable? How you're going to make most of the experience? Don't go in and embrace the philosophy that so many people in prison will tell you, which is, forget about the outside world while you serve time. That'd be easier to serve time, but you come home to a whole new, a whole lot of problems on the other side. And number 10, exercise right now harder than you ever have. A lot of dudes go to these minimum security camps and they think it's a country club and club fed and they're going to get into shape. But because they have an exercise for 10 years, they immediately get hurt. So start to do some exercise right now and do it in really cold, frigid conditions and get used to what life can be like on the inside when you exercise without the materials and clothing that you have right now. Did I miss anything? Let me know. Thank you so much for watching.
