If you're going to federal prison, consider this groundbreaking strategy. When I was getting sentenced to victim's spokane, demanded that Judge Wilson sentence me to prison. Judge Wilson cut him off and said, I understand, I'm sending him to prison. I hadn't even been sentenced yet yet I knew that I was going. Following the sentencing here, and I left the courtroom, and I walked through the streets of downtown Los Angeles for like four hours. I bought things off street vendors like a Rolex, I sure you was fake. I went to the food trucks. I got tacos. I got pizza. So bloated, so miserable as a result of this devastation I alone had created. It continued that evening while having dinner with my friend in an outburger, and he's like, hey man, so you're going to federal prison. What are you going to do there? And I'm like, hold on, man, I'm eating. He's like, you're eating a lot. I'm like, I'm good. Have you ever eaten so much but the foods in front of you and you're like, you know, I have the discipline and character to power through. I'm going to finish it off. So he's like, so what are you going to do in prison? I'm like, not a damn thing. He's like, nothing. Zero, zilch. He's like, you've got to do something, right? I'm like, all right, well, I took Spanish all the way through USC. I can hardly speak it. Maybe I'll learn some Spanish. I'm fat, miserable, and bloated. Are you going to finish your fries and shake? Maybe I'll get you a little better shape. Other than that, zero. Can we continue eating, please? If you're going to federal prison, maybe you should be like me under a chief because I get so many calls for moms, daughters, sons who tell me they visit with their loved one in prison, and they are devastated because their loved one made promises about what they would do in prison, create, build, get in better shape, grow their network, prepare for the hardest part as a white collar criminal, which I am coming home. Then they're like, he's just kind of narcissistic, and when I questioned him on it, he puts it back on me, and I'm more disappointed than ever because he said he was going to do something he didn't. There's the strategy. If you're not going to follow through, just do what I did. You're not going to do a damn thing, and it's very easy to overachieve to, in and out, I have a great deal of ability to resist temptation because every time I think of it, I think back to that night I overdid it, including when my wife and kids come home with in and out today, I don't need any of it because I go back to that sentencing day in 2008 and the life that I led and the embarrassment that I was, and I want no part of it. Do better than me.
