This is two New York Times recipes that my brain has mixed together for beef stew. We got your stew meat, potatoes, celery, garlic, onions, mushrooms, carrots, thyme, rosemary, and parsley, flour, beef broth, red wine, red wine vinegar, tomato paste, bay leaves, garlic powder, onion powder. It's kind of insane, isn't it? Take your cubed meat and put it in a bag bag of beef bag of beef bag of beef two big scoops of flour. I am seeing Lady Gaga tonight, I could actually wear this as part of my outfit. Let's move the camera. Get your hot pan, yeah. You're going to brown your beef but don't cook it. Brown the meat on each side so it looks like this. Give it up for that beef. Woo! We're going in the dry pot. Chop your veggies and herbs. Now we actually have to chop them. Chopped. We're going to dump everything in. We're just going to make it juicy, juicy. It's spoonful of tomato paste. Beef broth and entire container, are you going to pour that? A cup of red wine, red wine vinegar, maybe a tablespoon or two. Two bay leaves, who knows what they do but everybody says you have to put them in stuff so there they are. Fix it all up together. This sounds like a horror movie. And the last carrot. We are going to put this bad boy on low for six to eight hours. Set it and forget it. Woo! I'm going to Lady Gaga and so I'm going to try this tomorrow when I'm hungover. We're going to have tons of leftovers for Jared tomorrow. Rah, rah, rah mama. It's the next day. Houston, I had this last night for dinner. It was so good. It's delightful. Let me taste my god. Oh. I'm looking at you in an intimidating way. Really good. It's got like a French flavor to it. What does that even mean? Softened, caramelized, I mean. It kind of has a French onion soup element. This is soaking up the vodka and it's like my stomach. Oh my god, this is fucking bomb. How long did it take to cook? Eight hours, low and slow. Honestly, it makes really good leftovers and all the flavors just get really mixed in there.
