This past weekend I attended the Beloved Community Awards at The Martin Luther King Jr. Center in Atlanta, and I can still feel it. Seeing Viola Davis receive the Coretta Scott King Soul of the Nation Award, honored for her art, courage, and commitment to truth and justice, was one of those moments that literally gave me chills.
