November 2022: I was supposed to be on the PCT. Long COVID kept me home, and I hyperfixated on ChatGPT. December: I followed the people pushing this work forward and learned fast. January 2023: I started teaching. It felt like my mom—who taught for decades—was right there with me. June 2023; Then I noticed a gap. People were learning AI and returning to workplaces with no policies. I joined the advisory board working on policy. I organized a study group of governance-minded thinkers. I took Paul Roetzer’s course on policy and AI integration. Then I began working with nonprofits and small and midsize orgs in AI adoption. My work grew into: 1. AI education 2. Workshops and speaking 3. Consulting 4. I love a friendly debate in the comments if you’re a stan for one of these. But please don’t talk about the em dash. Not a peep. We’ve had more than a lifetime full of people who feel the need to talk about this. We get one time around. Harumph. Also, women surpassed men in ChatGPT usage back in March 2025, so don’t try to tell me women are not adopting AI. THROW THOSE STUDIES OUT THE WINDOW. Women underreport bc we’re no dummies. We know our competence is already in question. The last thing we’re gonna do is tell our boss we’re using generative AI unless we’re sure we can do so without retribution. Also, we dont have the blind faith in technology that our counterparts tend to. We are conscientious and cautious. But we are not lagging in usage. #responsibleai #sheleadsai #womeninai #ai
