You're just burning fuel and idling your engine in high revs. Step one, name it. The moment you feel the heat rise say to yourself, this is anger. A part of me is angry right now. Maining the emotion moves it from the survival brain to the thinking brain. Step two, activate your vagus nerve. Splash cold water on your face or take an ice cube and rub it around your eyebrows and cheeks. This activates your vagus nerve, which is your body's calm switch. Because anger doesn't just live in your brain. It also lives in your body. And when you activate your vagus nerve, you legitimately calm your physiology down. Step three, move the anger somewhere useful. Shake out your hands. Go for a walk. Do squats in place. Give all that energy of anger a place to go so it doesn't get lodged inside your tissues. Truly powerful people don't often stew in their anger. Because they know it just attracts more reasons to be angry into their lives. That's law of attraction.
