Freedom to live your life doesn’t always mean lack of rules. In fact, if you look at what the republicans call freedom, it always has to do with being able to force their beliefs on other people. That is taking away another person’s freedom never creates more freedom. Democrats don’t want to ban books or get involved in your bedroom activities or force women to have babies of their rapists. But, democrats do want to regulate guns to keep Americans safe, provide universal healthcare, and provide school children healthy meals. All of those things we want and don’t want increase your ability to choose for yourself. What they don’t do is allow you to make choices for other people. The politicization of “freedom” has everyone so confused. Nobody is free is a society where you could get shot just for existing or die from a preventable disease because your neighbors don’t believe in science. 🆘🇺🇸 #creatorsearchinsights

Americans are very confused about what freedom is and the reason you're confused is because you have been sold the idea of freedom by billionaires corporations and grifters. You think that freedom is a lack of rules. That's not freedom at all. That's chaos. I see freedom totally differently. To me, being free means I get to exist safely within all of my environments and get to pursue what I want to pursue because the rules protect me. I feel more free in Europe because I can let my children go out and hang out at the mall or downtown and not have any fear of a mass shooting. I feel more free in Europe because all of my food has to meet higher safety standards than it does in the United States. The government protects me from corporate exploitation in the food market. I feel more free in Europe because the government forces corporations to do the right thing instead of depending on them to just do it of their own volition. Freedom should protect people not exploit them and right now the only people getting freedom are the powerful elites and the people below are fighting for those elites as if they're going to give them something in return but they're never going to give anything in return. That's why you're not free. That's why you don't have safety. That's why you aren't protected with the food and the water and the products that you purchase because they want you to believe that you'll work it out. You're smart enough to figure it out in the free market but nobody can be smart enough to figure it out in the free market when all they do is lie and conceal and buy off government officials. That is not freedom. If you're new here I'm Veronica. Five years ago I left the United States in pursuit of real freedom. Freedom from all the corporations and the billionaires and the grifters and I'm happy to report I found it and it's all over the place. Anyone who has tried to sell you the idea that America is the most free place in the world has sold you alive. Freedom exists all over this world and those places allow Americans to move there. Everywhere you live has trade offs. In the U.S. you sacrifice safety for economic opportunity. For our family, we weren’t willing to live with that risk. Moving across the world gave us a sense of calm and freedom that is worth the loss of income potential. No amount of money could ever make up for the possibility that our kid could be gunned down at school in America. I don’t let parents pretend to be ignorant to the reality of gun violence in schools. You can’t just pretend you don’t realize that’s a possibility everyday you send your kids to school. Either admit you are wiling to take the risk or do something about it. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for why you want to leave the United States. Whatever your reasons are for wanting to move to another country, they are enough. All the data supports your idea that leaving is best. Your mental health, your safety, and your future self all deserve to get out. Replying to @justjaimie123 Saying you can’t leave the country because of money is your cover story. There is something deeper happening. You haven’t let your heart accept that leaving is what you really want. When someone wants something badly enough and they let themselves feel that, solutions will come. People make things happen if they want the bad enough. You will have to do things you have never done to go places you have never gone. If money was the only obstacle, you would have figured out how to get it by now. 🆘🇺🇸
