I'm just going to say the unpopular opinion. I don't care that your kids don't want to do something. You are the parent and what you say goes. I can't tell you how many times parents come to me and say they want to move abroad, but their kids don't want to. Well guess what? As the parent, it's your job to enforce the things that need to happen regardless of what they say. Our kids can come up with every excuse in the world about why they have to stay there. The sports, the friends, the girlfriends, the boyfriends, the jobs, whatever it is that they feel like ties them to the geography of where you currently live in the United States. And all of that is immediately shut down by your knowing as a parent that when you send them to school that day, they could be shot by a gun. 100% full stop as a parent, you know that to be true. And their opinions about the fact that they don't want to move, just don't matter as much as that. Tough love baby, right? I know that it feels like you're just ripping them out of everything they've known and you are. But you're going to be giving them an opportunity to have a freedom that they have never known. More child, if they are in school right now, has never known a life where they couldn't be gunned down at that school on that particular day. That's been their entire life because it's been like that since the 90s, it's been like that since I was in school. And this is not fair to your children, that kind of trauma that you're loading them up with for their entire life because you're too afraid to make the move. As the kids say, sorry, not sorry, you are the parent and you have to take control of that situation. That doesn't mean drag them kicking and screaming. You might need to sell the idea, but if you haven't sold it yet and you want to move abroad, then sell it harder, sell it harder. Make sure they understand the country that you're going to and all the benefits that they will have when they go to that new country. If you need help selling your kids on the idea of moving abroad, hire a consultant. I will help you help your kids understand the importance and the amazing lifestyle they will have as they move abroad because you are giving them gifts that they don't even realize that they want yet. And that's your job as a parent is to provide them with a lifestyle and provide them with the ability to have a future by not getting gunned down in school. No matter what age your kids are, there is something about that timeframe that you think, oh, this is not a good time for them to move and you can make some excuse. Oh, this is not a good time. They're so young. Oh, this is not a good time. This is their formative years. Oh, this is not a good time. They're in middle school and puberty. Oh, this is not a good time. They're in high school and they're starting their journey into being an adult. All of the years are bad times, but that doesn't make it not the right time to move because the right time to move is as soon as you possibly can. The sooner you can, the sooner you can have a life where you do not have to have the physical stress and anxiety of knowing that your kids are in danger on a daily basis. Every day that you allow that to go on is another day that you are doing your children at disservice and allowing them to control what the family is doing even when it's not in your best interest. Five years ago, when I left the United States for good, I had two kids that were six and eight. And there were lots of reasons why we shouldn't go at that particular time. You had to have a COVID test. You had to have a COVID vaccination. You had to quarantine all these travel restrictions. And yet we went because it was the safest thing to do. Even though it wasn't super popular within my family, my extended family, they did not think it was a good idea. It's what we did because the parents decided it was the right thing to do. And therefore, it is what we did. Don't let other people influence your decision about what is the right thing to do for your family, especially when it comes to health and safety. Your kids matter more than the judgment that you will incur from making a dramatic decision like this. And I am here to hold your hand and tell you, it is the right decision. the broad will change your lives for the better in all the best ways.

Everywhere you live has trade offs. In the U.S. you sacrifice safety for economic opportunity. For our family, we weren’t willing to live with that risk. Moving across the world gave us a sense of calm and freedom that is worth the loss of income potential. No amount of money could ever make up for the possibility that our kid could be gunned down at school in America. I don’t let parents pretend to be ignorant to the reality of gun violence in schools. You can’t just pretend you don’t realize that’s a possibility everyday you send your kids to school. Either admit you are wiling to take the risk or do something about it. The something we did was to move abroad where school shootings don’t happen. 🆘🇺🇸 #creatorsearchinsights

You don’t owe anyone an explanation for why you want to leave the United States. Whatever your reasons are for wanting to move to another country, they are enough. All the data supports your idea that leaving is best. Your mental health, your safety, and your future self all deserve to get out. I ran away from America five years ago and it was the best decision of our lives. We are all happier because we left. 🆘🇺🇸 #creatorsearchinsights

Replying to @justjaimie123 Saying you can’t leave the country because of money is your cover story. There is something deeper happening. You haven’t let your heart accept that leaving is what you really want. When someone wants something badly enough and they let themselves feel that, solutions will come. People make things happen if they want the bad enough. You will have to do things you have never done to go places you have never gone. If money was the only obstacle, you would have figured out how to get it by now. 🆘🇺🇸
