People always ask me where they should move, as if I've got some magic answer that's going to be to catch all for everyone. The reality is, you can't ask where should you move, you have to ask where can you move? Where can you move? We'll whittle down the list of countries available by a lot, I guarantee that. When people meet with me for the first time, I have to ask pretty personal questions. I get into your finances, your health situation, your family dynamics, and all of that is because I want to be able to match the places that will take you with where you would prefer to go, and that would be the magic list of where should you move. But there's no way for me to answer in a comment section where you should move without knowing enough about you. There are so many dynamics about a country that make it impossible to give that one-size-fits-all answer. Every country has different rules on whether or not they're going to have a pathway to citizenship for you. What their tax implications are like. What their medical care is like for your specific situation. What the weather is like. What the public sentiment towards foreigners is like. There are so many different dynamics at play that I need to analyze all of the things about you and match them into what countries are taking people like you with remote income, retirement income, passive income. It's not just, here's the best country. My job would be so much easier if I could just sell you services where I said, here's the best country for every single person, but it does not work like that. If we haven't met yet, I'm Veronica, and I left the United States five years ago, not realizing that it was going to become a forever lifestyle. But since then, I've now lived on three different continents, and it's now become my mission to help other Americans figure out where in the world would be a good place for them to live. Where will you be happiest, where will you thrive because it meets your preferences? It allows you to live there, and it's the perfect place for you. So while I cannot answer, where should you move from the US in the comment section of any of my videos, I can certainly take a look at your individual situation and match your preferences with where we'll take you and come up with a short list of the places that you can move, and that will allow you to pick out where you should move.

It is very common to misuse the word visa when it comes to immigration. You can’t live somewhere on a visa. The visa is what allows you to enter. You can enter countries on tourist visas, retirement visas, digital nomad visas, student visas, family re-unification visas, and more. But, that visa expires in 20, 60, 90, or 120 usually. After that visa expires, you will need to have converted your status to residency. I entered Japan on an ancestry visa, but then converted that to a long term residency permit. I entered Portugal on a D7 visa, but then converted that to a two-year temporary residency card. After some period of legal residency there are opportunities to gain citizenship. It is required that you have a least one citizenship, so you can’t renounce your only citizenship until you have gained a new one. 🆘🇺🇸

Replying to @seraphina.shop You may not realize this, but you have over 300,000 items in your home. Selling everything in your house is a great way to build your move abroad fund. When we left the country all our stuff for a family of 4 fit into 8 suitcases. In my minimalism e-course I teach you how to solve the underlying reasons why you accumulate stuff to begin with. Once you get rid of your stuff you are able to leave with money in your pocket and no stress about your possessions. Minimalism actually allowed us to turn our house into an Airbnb which is one of our main funding sources of our life abroad. 🆘🇺🇸

Everywhere you live has trade offs. In the U.S. you sacrifice safety for economic opportunity. For our family, we weren’t willing to live with that risk. Moving across the world gave us a sense of calm and freedom that is worth the loss of income potential. No amount of money could ever make up for the possibility that our kid could be gunned down at school in America. I don’t let parents pretend to be ignorant to the reality of gun violence in schools. You can’t just pretend you don’t realize that’s a possibility everyday you send your kids to school. Either admit you are wiling to take the risk or do something about it. The something we did was to move abroad where school shootings don’t happen. 🆘🇺🇸 #creatorsearchinsights

You don’t owe anyone an explanation for why you want to leave the United States. Whatever your reasons are for wanting to move to another country, they are enough. All the data supports your idea that leaving is best. Your mental health, your safety, and your future self all deserve to get out. I ran away from America five years ago and it was the best decision of our lives. We are all happier because we left. 🆘🇺🇸 #creatorsearchinsights
