The Epstein list shutdown is coming to an end because the spineless Democrats backed down again. By backing down they allowed this shutdown to be for nothing. We will have millions of Americans priced out of healthcare in just 52 days. Politics always take us on a wild emotional roller coaster but fail to deliver on any progress. The Democrats had every indication that the American public was standing with them on this shutdown. Elections last week proved they knew the Republicans were to blame. I say this all the time, the only thing that's happening is that you're going back to the starting line. Every single time something's happening in government and it's super dramatic, you take 10 steps backwards. And this government shutdown was no different. And instead of making any progress because the Democrats are too spineless to hold out until we actually got protections on our healthcare for just one additional year, instead of actually standing up to the Republicans, they back down again and simply got you back to the starting line. The only concessions that they got were that people who were fired during this government shutdown got their jobs back. And they agreed to pay those people for the time that they had been out of work these last 40 some odd days. That is not progress. That's embarrassing. The whole point of this government shutdown was to hold the Republicans feet to the fire and force them to do something about healthcare. These healthcare changes are not some far off in the future thing. They will start in January. Do you realize that is less than two months away? These changes are coming quickly. And Democrats were trying to do something, but as always, they couldn't hold it together. So while millions of Americans are losing their healthcare and you have been on this crazy emotional roller coaster during this government shutdown, there has been no progress made. And you are simply back to the starting line as always. There is never any progress and that is a recurring theme of our government. You have incremental changes that happen, but then they get taken away. Every time you feel like you've moved forward and there's some new benefit, it's only temporary. It gets taken away at the next opportunity by the other side. This is the vicious cycle of American politics and I do not understand the people who are holding out hope that that is somehow going to be different in the future. It is absolutely not going to be different because the big corporations that own the politicians are not going to allow it to be different. This is to their benefit. So any Democrats out there still wishing, hoping, praying, canvassing, protesting, doing everything you can, thinking you can change the system. The system is not going to change. And I hope that you can get some peace in your life and not go on that emotional roller coaster again, thinking that progress is going to happen. All progress in the United States has shown to be temporary and this is no different. You are back to the starting line.
