Leaving America is the easy part. Letting GO of America is harder. And that's where most expats fail. They physically relocate but mentally stay. They live in Portugal or Mexico or Thailand while constantly comparing everything to "how we do it in America." That resistance creates friction. And that friction manifests in one of three ways - all of them preventable. But here's the thing: The resistance isn't about loving America. It's about fear of the unknown. It's easier to say "this country does things wrong" than "I don't know how to do things here yet." It's easier to recreate your old systems than learn new ones. It's easier to stay insulated than integrate. But "easier" doesn't mean better. It just means familiar. And if you wanted familiar, you should have stayed in America. The whole point of leaving was to build a life that operates differently. Less stressful. Safer. More affordable. More present. But you can't get that life by importing all your American expectations and demanding the new country bend to them. You get it by bending yourself to the new country. Learning the language. Understanding the culture. Accepting the trade-offs. That's not giving up who you are. That's making room for where you are. Link in bio if you're ready to actually leave, not just relocate. ๐Ÿ†˜๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ #creatorsearchinsights

The biggest mistake Americans make when they're trying to move abroad is recreating their American life in the new country. And this plays out in three different ways. The first way is that that American will become one of those toxic expats that will just be bitching all the time. They come on the internet and say that moving abroad is a terrible idea. Well, they are in the other country safely out of the United States and yet they spread their negativity and they just talk shit about the idea of moving abroad and that's an extremely unpleasant thing for other of us that are enjoying our time overseas. They are really tough to be around. The second way that this will play out is these people will boomerang back to the United States. They'll move abroad. They will have a terrible experience because they couldn't make all of the things that happened in America, the conveniences happen over in the new country and so they'll boomerang back to the United States and say that moving abroad didn't work. And they will put that out online and say that they are so happy to be back in the United States and this is all the great things about the United States. The third way that this plays out is that they actually do successfully recreate their American life or maybe even better overseas. But the problem is those people are spending three or four times more than the average person in that area and that is problematic because it messes up the local economy and it also is not sustainable because all of the things that America has is why it became such a toxic place to begin with so you don't want to introduce that into the new place that you're going because that will spread, that toxic kind of behavior will spread and then all of a sudden you aren't going to like that place just like you didn't like the United States. Leaving America is a choice that you are making and you are making it for a good reason. I'm sure whatever the reason is it's a good reason. And leaving America should mean leaving a lot of that society behind. Do not expect to have a mick mansion that has bedrooms upstairs and all the living quarters downstairs and has AC and a dishwasher and all the creature comforts like Amazon to our delivery. It's not like that abroad and that's by design. They get to live calmer, slower, freer lives because they are not beholden to the corporate conglomerate like the United States is. The United States lets corporations make all of the decisions. That's why the food is toxic. That's why the people are so sick and that's why the education system is overrun with gunmen coming into schools. So that is not what you want to recreate as you move abroad. You left that for good reason. In the new place, try to assimilate, learn the language, figure out how the locals live, find a place that you can be comfortable in without changing everything about that place to fit your American sensibilities. If you need help finding the right place, I'm your girl. I'm Veronica and five years ago, I left the United States for good. My family has lived on three different continents and now I teach other Americans how they can do the same. I've got hundreds of visa programs that I recommend for my clients to choose from. I don't pigeonhole you into a specific country. I'm not trying to sell you on a specific country. I help you look at all of your options based on your situation and we pick the ones that are going to be the most suitable for you. The links to work with me either one-on-one or in a group coaching program are in my bio and I'm ready to help you pick the country that's going to help you feel comfortable outside of the United States without trying to recreate America in the new place.

If picking a new country was as easy as comparing crime statistics and educational outcomes, than obviously that country would be overrun with expats. The best countries to move to are not one size fits all. Before you get your hopes up about any particular country, I suggest you take a step back. Determine your visa eligibility first. Some countries are trying to attract retirees. Other countries are welcoming digital nomads. And there are countries only looking for wealthy expats. Your income type and amount will determine what countries will take you. Schedule your exit plan call if youโ€™re ready to stop daydreaming and start packing. #creatorsearchinsights

There are a lot of people who love the idea of moving abroad. There are fewer people who are actually ready to make it happen. If you have been stuck researching how to move abroad from the US, how to leave America, where to live overseas, or how to move abroad with kids, but you still do not have a plan, this page is for you. A lot of smart people get trapped in analysis paralysis. They keep consuming more content because it feels productive. But more information does not always create movement. Sometimes it just creates more confusion. You do not need fifty more tabs open. โ€จYou need the right order of steps. โ€จYou need a strategy that fits your life. โ€จYou need someone who understands how to move from vague dream to actual plan. I help Americans who are tired of researching moving abroad and ready to start taking action. Follow if you want practical guidance, realistic next steps, and a clear path toward living abroad. ๐Ÿ†˜๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

The life you've built in America isn't the life you wanted. It's the life you could scrape together under constraints of: wages that don't cover basics, healthcare tied to employment, housing costs consuming half your income, constant financial stress, survival mode as default state. You didn't choose misery. You chose best option available within impossible constraints. But those constraints are geographic. Change geography, change constraints, change what's possible. The apartment you can barely afford in America becomes the nice place with breathing room abroad. The paycheck that barely covers survival in America becomes the income that allows saving abroad. The constant stress about one emergency destroying you financially becomes manageable situation where emergencies are expensive but not catastrophic. Same income. Same skills. Same person. Different location. Completely different life. You're not stuck because you lack resources. You're stuck because resources you have don't work in location you're in. Move those resources to location where they work better, and you're not stuck anymore. But moving requires: tolerating uncertainty about how things will work out, being uncomfortable while figuring out new systems, releasing familiar patterns even when familiar is miserable, trusting you can build better life from scratch. Most people choose familiar misery over unfamiliar uncertainty. Devil you know feels safer than devil you don't, even when devil you know is grinding you down. This is why people stay in: jobs they hate, relationships that don't work, locations that don't serve them, lives that feel like slow suffocation. Because at least they know how to survive current misery. Unknown is terrifying even when unknown might be better. But what if you're not choosing between misery and uncertainty? What if you're choosing between: familiar misery that will continue indefinitely, or temporary uncertainty that leads to actually building life you want? When you're in survival mode, you're making choices based on: what's cheapest, what's fastest, what gets you through next month, what keeps crisis at bay. Not what you actually want. What you can manage given constraints. Those choices compound into life that doesn't reflect your preferences. Reflects what you could piece together while drowning. But when you move somewhere your income works better, you're not in survival mode anymore. You have breathing room to choose based on: what you actually want, what serves your family, what creates life you're proud of. That's not small difference. That's the difference between life you're enduring and life you're choosing. Living in America isn't default you're stuck with. It's choice you're making every day by not choosing differently. And choosing differently is available to you. Link in bio for people ready to choose. What would you choose if survival wasn't consuming all your energy? ๐Ÿ†˜๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
