Okay, so yeah, three reasons why you might not be getting those four remote jobs that you've been applying for, and what you can draw about it. So let's get right into it. The first culprit is being your resume or CV as we call it. If your resume looks anything like this, or like this honey, what are you doing? Like this is the CV that we wrote somewhere in primary school. It doesn't apply anymore. I want you to think of your resume as a sales pitch, right? That is the one thing that a recruiter sees to decide if they are going to message you or not. So it has to be good. The thing is, you are in a competition, is a fierce competition. There are so many people applying for this job that you are applying for all over the world. What is going to make you stand out? You know, I've seen a lot of Nigerians making the mistake of I like the education so much in your resume. Shocker, nobody gives a fuck like nobody cares about your education. If you like go to a second of school, nobody cares. Everybody cares about can you do the job? Okay, so your resume sure I like that. For me in my resume, I always like to use this star method to like create my resume bullet points. What I don't want to start talking so much about this star method, what I did was what I'm doing for you guys is I'm going to, you know, put my resume in my pile so you guys can go copy it and, you know, replicate it, duplicate it. The second mistake I see a lot of people making is applying for every and any jobs, right? Maybe your cross-skill is in social media marketing. You not see a job in account-based marketing, which is ABN. You have no skill in account-based marketing. You've never done it before. You have no transpireable skill, but because they wrote account-based marketing, salary is $100,000. You go and apply. Now, you're now asking why did they reject me? Why would they reject you? The thing is, everybody, every recruiter is looking for somebody that has experience. I've been opportune enough to, you know, I have four jobs and one of my biggest aches when people apply to my job and they don't have any experience is like, why did you apply? Like, it's not even, I'm not even saying you can't apply to jobs when you don't have experience, but actually, you have transpireable skills, right? So people, you are applying to a job as a writer, and you've never been the writer in your life. You've never written anything in your life. So why are you applying? Like, that is one of the surest ways to get rejected. So if you don't have skills for a job, but don't apply, apply for a job that you have skills for. And the third mistake you're making is just applying online. See, when you only apply online, right? You're like a pinion and ocean. They might be 1000 applicants. The probability that your resume is going to get lost is very, very high, right? So what do you do? After applying online, you should take it up a notch and try to DM the recruiter online. Okay. Say hello. Hi. I just applied to your job. You know, I really love your job. I really love your work culture. But this is my resume. Okay. After if you don't, if you're after you've retired, message the recruiter online. And nothing you can't do is also go on LinkedIn and look for other employees in the company that are similar roles as you are. So maybe I'm applying for the content marketing. I look for something that is not product marketing. Connect to the percentage. Like, hello, hi. I just applied for this role. Like, can you refer me to give yourself, like, you know, what's going to be Englishy, whatever the English is? Do you guys have an edge, right? So don't just apply online. Apply online also reach out to people. Okay. As you can see, I'm literally Russian. So there you have it. The three reasons why you might not be getting informed in a more job.
